The drawing on the postcard is of the postcard rack it sits in. From one postiton, the drawing lines up with the structure that supports it.
The shopfitters carrying boards on a trolley (bleow) have also undergone the same treatment, though the second picture, where the trolley angle to the camera is steepest, when squared-up, results in this sharp angled photo. These are sketches for something much larger, that emphasizes the abstracting nature of the distortions applied in the attempt to square-up.
The pictures of the ‘you are here’ council maps were taken at various angles, and each one’s has been ‘re-righted’ to make them square-on.
